Originally born and raised in Pennsylvania, my husband and I spent 8 years in Indiana before trading in snow for palm trees and officially becoming Floridians. I work full-time as a school counselor and currently run FlipFlopWeekend. Yep…and I still make travel happen! My husband is a high school math teacher and we have two awesome kiddos, Josiah and Jessie, who love helping me ‘research’ for the blog…especially on our Disney weekends.
We live just outside of Orlando and are Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, my husband is a former cast member. We are at Disney nearly every weekend, so you can say we know our way around.
But, in the summers and on holidays, we like to get away. I was able to go to Russia when I was 16 and have traveled ever since. On educator’s salaries— I had to learn to plan our globetrotting on a budget.
